Summer Reading Schedule is here!

"Level Up at Your Library" is our 2025 children's bingo reading challenge, for kids from birth through grade 5 (as of fall 2025). Registration opens June 23!

 

**We have a community goal this year: together, we're trying to complete 225 total bingo rows to get Super Mario up the flagpole!**

 

 

1. Registration opens June 23. Register on the Beanstack Tracker app or website (https://cumberlandplri.beanstack.org/). You earn a voucher to The Friends of the Cumberland Public Library Book Store as thanks! Pick up at the children's room once you're registered.

 

2. Complete squares on the Bingo board between June 23 and August 9. You must enter your completed squares on the Beanstack app or website, even if you are using a physical paper version. (Paper version is available to pick up at the staff desk starting June 23.) You can try the activity suggested in each box, or substitute that with 20 minutes of reading. Activities in each square can be modified for child or family needs

 

3. Color or sticker a square when you've finished it and mark the square as complete on the app or website.

 

4. You earn a prize book and a ticket in our Grand Prize Raffle for completing your first row. You get to pick the book from our large selection of donated new books. (Thanks to Navigant Credit Union, The Cumberland/Lincoln Lions Club, and The Friends of the Cumberland Public Library for the books!) Visit the children's room to claim your book and to put your name up on our Tetris Brag Board. All raffles are done through Beanstack, so make sure your squares are entered there to qualify! Note: Prizes can be picked up starting July 1.

 

5. Extra ambitious readers can earn a second book, another Tetris piece, and entry into the $25 gift card raffle for finishing the entire bingo board before August 9th! All gift card raffles will be drawn after August 9.

 

Our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program is also running concurrently this summer, for preschoolers and their families, as well as the Gordon Scavenger Hunt. Please ask the staff about those programs on your next library visit!
