Need community service? We need you!

The library offers several ways to earn community service hours whether it’s for school, church, or just to give back:

Teen Volunteer Drop-In:
Once a month from October—May, we host a drop-in event (i.e. no registration required) for teens who just need a few volunteer hours or who want to try volunteering with low commitment. These events are usually good deeds for the library or community. Our next one is Saturday, December 16 from 11 AM –2 PM.

Teen Volunteer Corp:
The Teen Volunteer Corp is a great option for teens who have yearly service requirements or just want to volunteer as much as possible.  When you join, you’ll receive regular requests for volunteering. Plus, we’ll hold an optional monthly meeting to plan activities, spruce up the Teen Center, and educate new members. Our next meeting is Thursday, December 21 at 6:30 PM.

Case-by-case basis:
When possible, we will try our best to accommodate particular community service needs. But due to the large amount of teen volunteers, we cannot guarantee last minute requests.

Email Liz Gotauco, the Teen Services Coordinator, for more questions or visit the library to pick up an application for the Teen Volunteer Corp!
