Project Theatre Geek

Project Theatre Geek is a theatre intensive workshop series running at the Cumberland Public Library starting Thursday, February 22. The classes will be taught by local teen performer Sarah Dube. Sarah has performed with professional venues North Shore Music Theatre, Ocean State Theatre, and Theatre by the Sea, as well as Kaleidoscope Theatre and other regional venues, and she hopes to use her experience to coach like-minded teens into giving their best auditions and performance.

At this series of eight workshops, teens will go over audition skills, scene and song study, and improv. Participants who attend all eight classes will be featured in a showcase at the end of the series.

The classes run Thursdays from 4:00 - 7 :00 pm on various dates between February 22 through the showcase on May 10 and is open to youth in grades 6-12. Interested students can get more information or register for the workshops by contacting Teen Services librarian Liz Gotauco at 401-333-2552 ext. 6 or by emailing liz@cumberlandlibrary.org.
