Computer Workshops

The Library is offering two series of computer workshops. The first is called Tech Tuesdays and will run each Tuesday from 10:00 – 11:30 am. The series will offer opportunities to learn basic computer skills relating to Microsoft Office software or the use of various social media tools. The schedule of sessions is as follows:
  • January 16—Facebook
  • January 23—Twitter
  • January 30—Pinterest
  • February 6—LinkedIn
  • February 13—Microsoft Word
  • February 20—Microsoft Excel
  • February 27—Microsoft Excel 2
  • March 6—Microsoft PowerPoint
  • March 13—Microsoft Publisher
If Tuesday mornings don’t work out, you can also try Savvy Saturdays, which will take place on Saturday afternoons from 2:00-3:30 pm with the following schedule:
  • January 20—Facebook
  • February 3—Twitter
  • March 3—Microsoft Word
  • March 17—Microsoft Excel
  • March 31—Microsoft Excel 2
Interested participants can sign up for the sessions that are of interest to them or for the whole series. Sessions will include an interactive presentation as well as hands-on experience with the highlighted application. Participants are welcome to use the library’s computers or can bring their own laptop from home as long as it has the highlighted Microsoft Office programs and is WiFi capable.
