A Chilling Tale by a Cumberland Teen

Our CPL teens are amazingly talented and we love to showcase what they can do.  At our September Teen Writers Workshop, we focused on the horror genre.  This short story came out of that session and Cumberland resident and Beacon Charter student Larissa Lee, age 15, gave me permission to share it here.  I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did!

The Gravedigger by Larissa Lee

The first time it was not my fault.

Many teens volunteer at the library over the summer, and did you know that we have volunteer opportunities for teens all year round?  Teen volunteers can help with tasks such as prepping for programs, creating displays, and picking out books, music, and movies for Miss Jenn to purchase.  Have a great idea for service and need a space to try it out? Just contact Miss Jenn and let her know what you are interested in working on- we'd love to have your help!
