Today, we mourn the loss of a member of not only the Cumberland community, but of our library family as well. CJ was a wonderful soul who always had a smile, was willing to help out anyway he could, and never knew a harsh word for anyone. We were lucky to have him as one of our teen volunteers and “regulars” in the Teen Den throughout his high school years. We proudly watched him grow into a fine young man who was attending college and entering the workforce. A visit from CJ these days always meant lots of smiles, a few laughs, and a reminder that though he may not be here as often, the library was still an important home away from home. I will miss talking about graphic novels with him and having his input for items to add to the collection.
Our hearts go out to CJ’s family and friends. We are thinking about you during this unimaginably difficult time.
